It is not unusual!

Well, this is getting interesting. Suddenly my blog has become the venue for a comments war between Leighton Andrews AM and the former IT Manager of the National Library of Wales. To add to this the number of hits on this site has doubled as people come and see for themselves following it being shortlisted for the Guardian Backbencher's Political Awards.

Talking of the National Library of Wales, I note that Tom Jones will be celebrating his 65th Birthday with a concert in his home town in front of 25,000 people. The link between Tom and the National Library is the 100 Welsh Heroes Poll. Mr. Jones was my choice in that poll and I understand that before the database was allegedly changed to enable Aneurin Bevan to win, it was Tom who was in the lead.

Tom Jones will be singing at the end of May in Ynysangharad Park, Pontypridd and already it is sold out. A true case of the "green, green grass of home"!
Comments:
Yup, Tom Jones was way in front from the very start, well ahead of the others.

We couldn't very well discount all the real votes or people would have been suspicious - so I wrote a program that increased or decreased contenders by any required percentage. That's why the poll seems to have had such a large number of participants.

We used it every Monday to fix the publicised figures. Tom Jones was the real winner.
