On gay marriage

For those MPs opposing gay marriage in the House of Commons this afternoon, perhaps they should pause to watch this video:

I favour marriage equality. But the doctrinal answer to the question is this: many of the laws of the Old Testament were special rules tailored to the unique needs of the Jewish community. Once Christ was resurrected, Jew and Gentile were one, and some of the special rules are no longer applicable. But the core moral teachings of the Old Testament are still said to be binding on everyone.
