A tribute to Ianto

Those mourning the loss of Ianto Jones on the last series of Torchwood may be pleased to know that there is a place where they can express their feelings. A small shrine has grown up in Cardiff Bay in front of the wooden building that serves as the back door to the Torchwood facility.

My favourite is the card that purports to be from Captain Jack and just says simply 'you were so close to getting the hang of the job'.

The shrine is already becoming a tourist attraction as can be seen from these photos. There is even a 'Happy Birthday' banner which went up on the date of the character's birthday.

This will be the last you will be hearing from me for a bit but, unlike Ianto, I plan to be back. Don't stop visiting.
Comments:
RIP Ianto, your services to Torchwood and to the Human Race will never be forgotten.

haha you people are pathetic. Im sure even the guy who plays Ianto is thinking the same!. Get over it, Ianto was a FICTIONAL CHARACTER in a TV program!

Really? He was a fictional character??? Oh, thanks for telling us, we would have never guessed without your help!

The guy who plays Ianto has lost his job, in case you can't envision this particular side of the situation and I'm sure he thinks all the attention and the support from the fans is nice publicity.

I love it!!! I truly wish I could go and visit it! It was a great series and I loved Ianto. I am sure this shrine does nothing but tell the writers that they did a great job and teh actor that he did a wonderful job!!

No, I am not pleased to have a place to mourn Ianto. What would please me is the BBC aknowledging that fans are not happy with this loss and bringing him back in a new serie.....

lmfao! ok..I have to say this,I liked Ianto, I was gutted when he died
but he was a fictional character, theres bigger things in life than the death of someone on a tv show
Its getting pathetic now, you wont bring him back
Get. A. Grip!
