The sun shines on the righteous
It has been an appalling day across much of South Wales, with persistent and heavy rain and flooding in some parts.
In St. David's where members of the Church in Wales were electing a new Bishop the sun shone all day. God was obviously smiling on his convocation who responded by locking themselves in the cathedral.

...if they could have a word with the main man, a few weeks of sunshine during the Summer months wouldn't be too much to ask for would it?
Perhaps this is the way our summers are going to be from now on?
It's 50 years since Charles D. Keelin first drew the graph of global temperatures versus atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration, with the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere quickly approaching the 400 ppm mark.
Predictions on the effect of global warming suggest that the UK will get wetter, with wetter, warmer summers; there will also be the possiblility of increased outbreaks in plague. The fleas that carry the disease will become more active with increased temperatures.

"...Professor Stenseth added that their findings also helped shed light on two of the world's worst plague outbreaks: the medieval Black Death and the Asian pandemic in the 19th Century, which claimed the lives of tens of millions of people.
"Analyses of tree-ring proxy climate data shows that conditions during the period of the Black Death (1280-1350) were both warmer and increasingly wet."
"The same was true during the origin of the Third Pandemic (1855-1870) when the climate was wetter and underwent an increasingly warm trend," he added..."
Additionally, so scientists are predicting a cooling of Europe with the North Atlantic Conveyor/ Gulf Stream weakening, bringing less heat up through the North Atlantic.

No-one agreeing or contradicting the above analysis on climate change and the possible effects on Wales, the UK and Europe.
Very disapointing, are heads being buried in the burning sand ostrich style?
