Unwanted attention?

BBC Wales reports that David T.C. Davies, the Tory MP for Monmouth not the one who has resigned so as to tie David Cameron into opposition to 42 days detention without charge, is suffering unwanted attention due to the similarity of the two MPs' name.

I can quite understand that David may be getting frustrated at the mix-up, but I have never known him to class any sort of attention as 'unwanted'.
The fact that this is about the fourth time I've read this story tells me that the attention is welcomed by David Davies. Does he really need to phone the BBC up to tell them he has a similar name?
