Acts of betrayal
The Western Mail this morning continues its campaign to resurrect the career of former Secretary of Wales, Ron Davies. They put him on the front page to comment on the resignation of David Blunkett, presumably on the grounds that he is an expert on resigning.
Ron accuses the former Works and Pensions Secretary of compromising his radical principles once he got into the Cabinet. This is a charge that could never be laid at the door of Ron Davies of course. Then again, has Ron re-read the Government of Wales Act recently?

My posting was more about the way that Ron Davies continually re-wrote history about his own role in Government. Personally, I do not believe that he contributed that much during his period as an AM.
Earlier this week in the Western Mail article on the 'revalations' in Cynog Dafis autobiography it was revealed that Ron was engageed in secret talks about heading a 'red/green' coalition government.
Funny that as I seem to distinctly remember him denying it completely at the time! Much like he denied ever having visited Tog Hill until the Currant Bun actually published the photographs!
