I am happy to address most contributions, even the drunken ones if they are coherent, but I am not going to engage with negative sniping from those who do not have the guts to add their names or a consistent on-line identity to their comments. Such postings will not be published.
Anonymous comments with a constructive contribution to make to the discussion, even if it is critical will continue to be posted. Libellous comments or remarks I think may be libellous will not be published.
I will also not tolerate personation so please do not add comments in the name of real people unless you are that person. If you do not like these rules then start your own blog.
Oh, and if you persist in repeating yourself despite the fact I have addressed your point I may get bored and reject your comment.
The views expressed in comments are those of the poster, not me.
I have listened to it and it is good. Stephan Fry puts the info across well. However he is an educated man who oozes remain. What is needed is a 'common' voice person who can sell it to leavers, those undecided those who have most to loose by Brexit.
ReplyDeleteBenjamin Zephaniah(who I first heard of in 1990, come a long way since) on question time cynically commented that we would be screwed whatever the outcome. Once we leave or stay the inequalities in society must be fought.
Brexit is a future fact, any postponement or cancellation is out of the question. Each scenario demands the acceptance and implementation of the EU Finance Bill which becomes law in April 2019. Even 1 day under the new law imposes 20 years of acceptance into the future, the financial authorities will also be given powers over the last 20 years of taxation, private and corporate: no more offshore accounts, no more registered offices offshore either. The 27 have already passed this legislation through their respective parliaments, we would need to put it through both houses and back through the commons before April 1st. Brexit cannot be undone. Our money masters have decided for us.
ReplyDeleteAnything is possible. Acts of Parliament in the past have been passed from introduction to royal consent in a few days.
